UL and CSA Heavy Duty Power Cord Wire Specifications

Below please find details for the construction of our North America heavy use power cord wires.  The most common style used is ST.  We currently offer ST wire in 6AWG through 18AWG and have 4AWG in development.  We are constantly developing new wires with thicker gauges and different materials so if you don't see what you are looking for here, please contact us.

Description:

  • Conductor: Stranded bare copper
  • Insulation: PVC or NBR / PVC
  • Jacket: Color coded PVC or NBR / PVC
  • STW: Weather resistance and Outdoor Use
  • SO, STO: Oil resistant
  • STOW, SOW, SOOW: Oil & weather resistant / outdoor use

Characteristics:

  • Rated Temperature: 60°C or 150°C
  • Voltage Ratings 600 Volt
  • Passes UL VW-1 vertical flame test
  • Passes -40C Cold bend test and water resistant
  • Passes CSA Cold bend test
